The perfect shoes for autumn? Comfortable, original and practical

Like it or not, autumn is fast approaching. Sandals, flip-flops, espadrilles and jelly ballet flats are starting to give way to leather, more structured styles. We're slowly starting to build our wardrobe around knitwear, jeans, transitional jackets and a more subdued colour palette.

The FW 26/27 season brings us an interesting mix of classic styles such as loafers, ballet flats and sleek heeled ankle boots, as well as bolder accents – cowboy inspirations, expressive textures, and animal prints that are hard to miss. However, trends don't force us to choose between comfort and fashion. On the contrary – the most interesting models combine both.

This autumn, we are particularly focusing on styles that can be worn in many ways and that easily fit into everyday life. Our current selection includes leather loafers, ballet flats, boots, sneakers, sleek heeled ankle boots, and cowboy boots.

1. Loafers - the casual we love

If one style is to stay with us for longer, we definitely choose loafers. For the autumn-winter 2026 season, the classic loafer becomes less formal, softer and definitely more stylish. Instead of heavy, chunky models, sleeker silhouettes, noble leathers and suede are increasingly appearing. Loafers look great with wide-leg jeans, suit trousers, midi skirts or Bermuda shorts. This is an ideal model that easily fits into urban, casual outfits, and is also perfect for a more serious look and for work.

In our autumn selection, you'll find great leather loafers from the Danish brand Pavement. Among them are the Pacassie model in a beautiful chocolate brown shade with interesting elements of pony hair leather, incredibly comfortable and charming suede loafers Pavilde with soft, warm "shearling" lining, and classic, elegant, patent leather loafers with tassels and a pointed toe 9016 from Billi Bi Copenhagen.

2. Ballet Flats - A Classic Reimagined

Ballet flats remain in play, but for autumn 2026, they undergo a small metamorphosis. Instead of a very girlish character, they increasingly have a more sophisticated form: an elongated toe, a wider front, interesting stitching, a strap, and a stronger construction. Ballet flats are no longer a "delicate accessory" but become a full-fledged element of an outfit. You'll find this trend in the leather models Pakenny Pavement and Lautan ALOHAS

For the transitional period, we still highly recommend the jelly ballet flats with glittering applications from the Korean brand Heavenly Jelly. We are absolutely in love with them. They look GENIAL with short-legged jeans or a flared skirt and a blazer!

3. Boots and Cowboy Boots - Absolute Must-Haves for Autumn-Winter

Western remains one of the most interesting directions of the season. However, it's not about styling straight from the Wild West. In 2026, cowboy inspirations are much more subtle: an elongated toe, characteristic stitching, a slightly profiled shaft, or a western heel are enough to give the styling the right tone. In the current Kyosk offer, you will find SYD ALOHAS Cowboy Boots — a distinct model with hair-on leather that shows how this trend can be interpreted in a more fashionable, urban way.

The simplest way to wear cowboy boots? Pair them with straight jeans and an oversized coat. Or, conversely, break up their stronger character with a romantic dress. It's the contrast that makes them look most contemporary.

How to choose the perfect shoes for autumn 2026?

You don't have to buy five pairs to enter the new season. A well-built autumn footwear collection can be based on a few strong styles:

  • loafers – for everyday, work, and with jeans;
  • ballet flats – when you want a more feminine, light effect;
  • cowboy boots or high boots – as a strong yet feminine element of your outfit;
  • a model in brown, burgundy, or animal print – if you want to add character to your wardrobe.

The most important thing, however, is that the chosen style matches what you already have in your wardrobe. The best shoes of the season are not those that look great only in a picture. They are the ones you will actually reach for.
